Julie Plake McMinn

With more than 15 years of experience, Julie is an all-around marketing, branding, and PR pro. A move to New York City in 2005 marked the start of her communications career: She began as a marketing and advertising assistant at Niche Media, a luxury-lifestyle magazine publisher.  After being introduced to Bethenny Frankel, she went on to become her right hand—coordinator of chaos—handling everything from scheduling to marketing to product launches to building the Skinnygirl brand. In 2012, Julie left New York to come home to Pittsburgh. Embracing the corporate advertising and public relations world at Pittsburgh-based ad agency MARC USA, she oversaw public relations, influencer relations and event planning for Rite Aid Pharmacy, MARC’s biggest client. Julie spearheaded Rite Aid’s first blogger-advocacy program—a forward-thinking strategy to drive specific programs and promotions while increasing positive conversation about the brand. In 2015, Julie left the corporate world to create her own business – JPM Branding + Consulting, where she works with influencers and small businesses to build strong brand foundations. Her newest project 'The Solid Brand Sessions' is a partnership effort with GossBoss Photography & Video that focuses on supporting and working with women business owners and leaders on brand development.
